The 2018 Principal’s Emergency Checkbook Fund Breakfast was a huge success thanks in large part to YOU! We hope to see you again in 2019. Please RSVP to any OSDEF Board Member or to Bev Sperry at 360-596-6110 firstname.lastname@example.org.
Proceeds from the PECF Breakfast allow each OSD principal to quickly meet students' emergency needs -- and without the hassle of paperwork. These funds allow principals to provide everything from seasonally appropriate and properly fitting clothing and shoes to fees for college entrance exams. The PECF removes barriers so low-income students can maximize their potential.

Congressman Denny Heck, his wife, Paula, and other outstanding community members affiliated with OSDEF launched the Principal’s Emergency Checkbook Fund (PECF) in 2008. Its aim is the same today as it was more than a decade ago: to fill an important resource gap for principals and educators looking to quickly meet low-income students’ urgent basic needs.
The Olympia School District Education Foundation holds an annual breakfast fundraiser in September at the Hotel RL by Red Lion in Olympia. Guests are treated to a delicious breakfast that features a keynote speaker and heart-warming stories from the very people who, through access to PECF, are helping transform the lives of their students.
