Principal’s Emergency Checkbook Fund Breakfast

Save The Date- September 28, 2017

Planning is well underway for the 10th Anniversary Principal’s Emergency Checkbook Fund Breakfast.
Mark your calendars for September 28 – 7AM at Red Lion Olympia.

The PECF Breakfast allows each principal in the district to quickly meet emergency needs of students, with a minimal amount of paperwork. We provide everything from coats and shoes to SAT testing fees. The PECF removes barriers so low-income students can maximize their potential. Don’t Miss It!

The Principal’s Emergency Checkbook Fund (PECF) was started in 2008 by Congressman Denny Heck and his wife, Paula, Craig Ottavelli, and other outstanding community members affiliated with the OSDEF. The PECF fills an important resource gap for principals and educators. Each school in the district is provided with funds to help quickly meet emergent basic needs for students, with a minimal amount of paperwork. The PECF resources remove common barriers for low-income students maximizing their potential.

The Olympia School District Education Foundation holds an annual breakfast fundraiser every September at the Olympia Center. A full breakfast is provided and features excellent keynote speakers, heart-warming stories from the principals, and is a wonderful way to network and be a part of the Olympia Community.
